Hi guys, i'm back for more sharing(: ... first day of camp: i reported to the now officially student council's camp on a rainy day at 4pm. for your information, this camp is also a test for nominated sec ones-to-be-councillors. senior councillors like us, would observe them secretly. for starters, we did ice breakers, which were really crazy, as joseph hyper all of us up by teaching us the "yiba-ah-nehneh" cheer. that cheer is ridiculous!!! i was laughing till my face turned totally red. We also played wacko, bingo, my bonnie lies over the ocean!!! we spent the rest of the day attending Mr Liu's and Mr Yoong's workshop. Mr Liu said about his life's philosophies and how those can relate to the management of student council. Mr Yoong made us understand the meaning behind student council by doing an activity- paper plates were paste on our backs. we are supposed to go around writing good points about our friends. it's kind of interesting trying to guess who wrote which. some councillors even have secret admirers as they received comments such as "handsome" & "elegant". After which it's night off but we can't get to sleep so lia, wanjun, lynette & me chatted and gossiped. thanks lia, especially, for... you know what!!! ... second day of camp: we're told to report for physical training by 8 but all of us woke up at 6.30. i can still continue to sleep on but the other 3 girls keep pester me. i know i'm a pig among them. physical training was really aching and exhausting. it was uniform groups' routine of training. we did a great number of push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, star jumps, running. Waqiu made us redo if we are not counting, not doing properly etc. i remembered clearly he wanted us to start from zero but we kept counting one instead. get the joke? ok next up we had a hike at east coast. we walked 18km!!! of course, we had our mcdonald's lunch and played games on the way. we bonded quite alot by crapping and fooling around. i remembered that we had to play a three-legged race with no ropes at all and that stumbled us quite alot. we lookeed clumsy. ohh and thankds to joseph and jew qi, my group is filled with crazy laughters! we returned back to school for preparation for the opening ceremony of declaring prefectorial board no longer exist but with the replacement of student council, and POP for seniors. my group combined with nurianni's group and did 2 cheers. thereafter my group came up with one song singing item. thanks joseph and shi han for handling the notes on the keyboard, jew qi and jia le for caming up with comical actions to fit the songs peng you and vitamin c grad song, and the rest for doing their best to sing. not to forget to mention, we had bbq food for dinner. thanks all sec 3&4 seniors , alumni and those who helped out at the pespiring and stinky pit just to let the rest of us have a sumptous dinner! sec 2'09 councillors really went high high after that as we took loads & loads of photos in the hall, when ppl are preparing for lights off. we had alot of fun posing for funny funny and real funny actions. i can sense the unitedness in all of us, like a family bonded as one. e4'09 prefects also took family photos. there's one which has me as the "leader", the rest following behind. we posed the thousand hand goddess pose!!! ... third day of camp: we all slept between 12.30-1am but we woke at 3am for a night hike in the sch. u must be thinking "that's ridiculous" right? still, it was really fun as we go around the school searching for the murderer. through the process we have to find questions and answer the questions. throughout, seniors would hide in corners to scare us. i got scared by carina and jessica at the grafitti wall. justina's hair looked scary when put down in the darkness. ohh we only had light sticks on our hands, and they may be confisticated by the "ghosts". it's a fresh experience for me. after that we had a dry run on 2010 sec ones' orientation games, without the sec 3s guiding us as they were sleeping soundly. luckily we had brave souls like edwin, bryan, izdihar who stood out and lead. we played trees squirrels and hunters, pass the hoop, dodge balls, hand twirling around thingy and water games!!! water games rock big time!!! we all were super super high, throwing water bombs at one another. not only bombs, but water bottles and pails too. most of us totally get wet from top to bottom. it really rocks rocks rocks!!! after all the fun, we ahd to do area cleanups and prepare for home. incident of a sec one lost his wallet and mobilise all of us to search for it, delaying the whole schedule. in the end, Mr Yoong kept it as he wants to teach us a lesson on self-responsibility. it really left us bewildered. nonetheless, we went home on a happy note. with debrief from facilitators, doing reflections, and a student council photo. ... this camp really left a deep impression on me and i must say a thank you and good job to the planning committee. i am still in a camp craze right now!!! ;DDD
